What is Limewash?

Technically, not a paint. Limewash is an all-natural mineral and water based product which can be applied to walls, ceilings and more. The limewash is made from calcium carbonate, the same material sea shells are made from. When it is painted onto a surface, a chemical reaction occurs using CO2 from the atmosphere to convert the limewash back into limestone.

Our limewash paint is sourced from Bauwerk Colour. We love their quality and the wide range of colours (over 300!), which allows our clients to express their unique style. Bauwerk uses natural pigments to provide colour, resulting in an emotional depth and play of light on the surface.
